Samba is a Brazilian rhythm and a lifestyle. It is a centuries old culture passed from generation to generation and nowadays it still reinvents itself
through musicians and researchers who seek to keep the samba always alive and updated.

The Samba Do Tio Pê Group fits into this context, seeking to develop the samba language through research of composers and songs not yet known
to the general public, incorporating new arrangements and new lease of life.
Pandeiro, Voice, Percussion, 7 Strings Guitar, Cavaquinho and 6 strings Guitar; The group has the classical formation of the Roda de Samba, which traditionally have accompanied the first singers to consecrate themselves in the genre.

After a long journey in Brazil, Tio Pê brings to all Europe the magic of this amazing rhythm with the beats, melodies and harmonies characteristic of the traditional old school samba (velha-guarda).

Their repertoire includes composers such as Arlindo Cruz, Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho, João Nogueira, Padeirinho da Mangueira, Winson das Neves, Zé Kéti, Nei Lopes, and many others.
